Description
AWS VPN CloudHub is a hub-and-spoke model on the AWS. It allows multiple VPN connections from your virtual private gateway to enable communication between remote networks.
How It Works
In AWS VPN CloudHub, each remote network (spoke) connects to the AWS VPN CloudHub (hub). The traffic between spokes always goes through the hub, and never directly from spoke to spoke.
Benefits
- Scalability: It can easily scale as your network grows.
- Security: All data is encrypted, ensuring secure transmission.
- Reliability: AWS provides a highly available and resilient infrastructure.
Limitations
- Performance: The hub-and-spoke model can lead to latency issues.
- Cost: Data transfer charges apply for the traffic between spokes via the hub.
Features
- Multiple VPN Connections: Allows for multiple VPN connections from your virtual private gateway.
- Secure Transmission: All data is encrypted for secure transmission.
- Highly Available: AWS provides a highly available and resilient infrastructure.
Use Cases
- Interconnecting Remote Networks: AWS VPN CloudHub is ideal for interconnecting remote networks.
- Secure Data Transmission: It is used when secure data transmission is required.
- Scalable Network Infrastructure: It is suitable for creating a scalable network infrastructure.
